‘Don’t rule out Chiefs’ – Critics warned

Kaizer Chiefs have struggled for consistency in the 2024/25 Premier Soccer League campaign under new coach Nasreddine Nabi.

The Glamour Boys have 12 points that have come from three wins, as many draws and three losses. Some fans in Mzansi have already written off the Glamour Boys' chances of winning the PSL title this season.

The defending champions lead the race with 27 points from 10 games, while Orlando Pirates come second with three points less from nine outings. The majority of the fans feel the race for the crown is between Masandawana and the Sea Robbers.

The Glamour Boys defender Given Msimango is confident his team can still surprise by going all the way in the ongoing campaign. All he believes Nabi's outfit needs is consistency and everything will fall in place.

Don't write Chiefs off

“As for the team, my main wish is for us to stay consistent in our performance. My wish is that we win as many games as we can and bring back those glory days,” the former TS Galaxy defender told the media.

“But above all, I wish that we bring back the glory days for the club and the chairman Dr Kaizer Motaung Senior. And continue to play well and win games.

“It's still too early to [rule] out any club in the league title [race]. We are looking at that as well and my wish is for us to continue playing well, not just for us as players, but also for our supporters. Our goal is to continue fighting for the league title, it's still wide open for anyone to win,” he concluded.

The next game for Chiefs will be on Sunday against Chippa United.
