DStv Diski Challenge: Pirates stumble as SuperSport triumphs

Orlando Pirates failed to extend winning run in the DStv Diski Challenge while SuperSport United came out victorious.

In a match held at Isak Steyl Stadium on Saturday morning, the Buccaneers played to a 1-1 draw against Richards Bay FC. 

The Natal Rich Boyz took the lead in the 31st minute, but Ezimnyama Ngenkani responded strongly in the second half, equalizing through Mehluleli Maphumulo. 

Despite their efforts to secure a late victory, they ultimately dropped points.

Pirates now sit in sixth position on the league standings with 19 points accumulated from 11 matches they have played so far this season.

Meanwhile, Richards Bay occupy the eighth place on the table with 15 points collected after ten games.

In the other fixtures of the day, SuperSport whipped Lamontville Golden Arrows with a 4-0 scoreline in a match that was played at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.

Moreover, Bernard Parker’s TS Galaxy triumphed 3-0 over the league newbies Magesi FC.
