DStv Diski Challenge: Sundowns drop points as CT City trash Chippa

Mamelodi Sundowns dropped points in the DStv Diski Challenge while Cape Town City trashed Chippa United on Sunday.

Sundowns were held to a 1-1 stalemate against Sekhukhune United at the Isak Steyl Stadium. 

Gomolemo Kekana found the net for the Tshwane side, but Guliwe Olwethu equalised for Babina Noko in the dying moments of the match, ensuring they secured a point at home.

As a result, Bafana Ba Style now sit in the fourth place in the standings, having amassed 16 points from eight matches this season.

Meanwhile, the Citizens secured a resounding 6-3 victory over Chippa United on Sunday morning in a match that was played at Malta Park Sports Complex.

This victory propelled them to third place in the league table, also with 16 points from their eight games played thus far.

Kaizer Chiefs weren’t in action this weekend as they were supposed to play Royal AM who had their participation in the tournament halted by PSL due to their shortage of squad.
