Former Al Ahly midfielder Osama Orabi is unhappy with the club's decision to let Bafana Bafana international attacker Percy Tau leave.

The 30-year-old is set to join the Qatar SC who are playing in the Qatar Stars League. ending his three-year stay in Egypt. Tau has not been at his best relationship with coach Marcel Kohler who felt the versatile attacker has already served his purpose at the Red Devils.

Orabi argues there is not enough quality depth at the club which might come back to haunt the Egyptian champions.

“A great opportunity to qualify for the African Champions League and win the championship due to the many commitments. To maintain these championships.

“I am against the departure of South African Percy Tau, who has performed brilliantly over the course of 3 years with Al-Ahly, as is the case with Mali Deng, who wanted to stay, and his departure raised question marks,” the 62-year-old continued.

“Al Ahly needs a strong striker next to Wessam Abou Ali, who is considered one of the best new signings. When the problem occurred, it became apparent in light of Kahraba’s lack of form, which outfit

“In addition to two wingers after the departure of Percy Tau and the injury of Reda Selim, there is no one but Hussein El-Shahat, and we may need more,” Orabi concluded.

Tau hopes to get playing time in Qatar and get back to the national team after being overlooked by coach Hugo Broos in the most recent assignments.
