Kaizer Chiefs recently concluded the deal to bring on board Bafana Bafana custodian Renaldo Leaner.
The 28-year-old came in as a free agent after refusing to extend his deal with Sekhukhune United. The shot-stopper was also being chased by the Premier Soccer League champions, Orlando Pirates, as well as the CAF Champions League winners Mamelodi Sundowns, before Amakhosi convinced him to join the Naturena Village.

Reports from Chiefs indicate Leaner will serve under Brandon Petersen, hoping the duo will push each other to give the best and push the club to greater heights.
The changes will see Bruce Bvuma, who recently extended his deal with the Soweto giants, drop to the third option. Bvuma has always been given chances to prove his quality but failed to deliver as expected, explaining why he is down the pecking order.
What Leaner’s arrival means for Fiacre Ntwari
Rumours have it that Premier Soccer League newbies Kruger United are interested in Rwanda international Fiacre Ntwari, who is seemingly the fourth choice at Amakhosi.

“While nothing has been finalised, there is genuine interest in bringing the goalkeeper on board, with discussions dependent on the necessary processes being completed,” Soccer Laduma reported.
“There is that possibility, although it will depend on all the processes being finalised. The player feels a move like this could work for him because he needs to play regularly and regain confidence. Kruger United is willing to give him that opportunity if everything falls into place.
“He has not given up on making it at Chiefs. He still believes he can fight for his place there in the future, but at this stage he knows that playing regularly is the most important thing for his development and confidence,” they added.

Apart from the domestic competitions, the Glamour Boys grabbed a ticket for the CAF Confederation Cup after finishing third in the PSL last season.
