Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu has provided a candid perspective on his career, having featured for both of the Soweto giants, Orlando Pirates and his current club, Amakhosi.
Ndlovu, a player with a unique vantage point, has stated that a direct comparison between the two iconic clubs is not feasible.
Ndlovu’s tenure at Pirates spanned from 2019 to 2022, a period during which he made 41 appearances and netted two goals. Despite his contributions, his time with the Buccaneers was characterized by limited game time.
This lack of regular play prompted his move to SuperSport United, a transition that proved instrumental in revitalizing his professional career. It was through his performances at SuperSport that he ultimately earned his transfer to Naturena, a testament to his resilience and talent.
Since joining Kaizer Chiefs, the 28-year-old has participated in five matches, scoring a single goal in the process.

‘YOU CAN NEVER COMPARE THE TWO’
“Most definitely, I really I wanted to have game-time because there is no footballer that just want to get paid and not play football,” said Ndlovu.
“It’s not that nice so I really want to continue doing that [playing] and I really want to lift others. And that is my main aim at Chiefs because there is a lot of competition within the club, and you really need to pull everyone to the same direction.
“You can never compare the two, but you can only be grateful that you played for both and both clubs are totally different and how they do things is different and how they set-up is absolutely different.
“But I’m very privileged to have played for both and very happy about that.”
