Kaizer Chiefs star Gaston Sirino has explained what has drawn South American players to the PSL, particularly in the past decade.
The 34-year-old attacker, arrived in South Africa in January 2018, signing for Mamelodi Sundowns under Pitso Mosimane.
He had a successful spell with the Tshwane giants, winning multiple trophies before leaving at the end of the previous season.
In his 202 appearances for the Brazilians across all competitions, the skilful right-footer scored 41 goals and registered 44 assists.
According to Sirino, the enhanced quality of South African football since the 2010 FIFA World Cup in Mzansi is what has drawn South American players to the PSL.

WHAT HAS ATTRACTED SOUTH AMERICANS TO THE PSL
“Yes, yes. Because here is good. After the World Cup 2010, South Africa improved too much,” Sirino told iDiski Times.
“All South America players come, or some players is coming now, and they are asking, ‘How is the life here?’ Of course, here it is beautiful.
“It’s so beautiful. So now the reality is the food here is good only.”
Sirino has an opportunity to add to his trophy collection when his side faces Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup on 10 May at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
SIRINO WITH OPPORTUNITY TO ADD TO HIS TROPHY COLLECTION
“Well, it’s a good opportunity for us to win the trophy, to make history in this club, in this big club,” added Sirino.
“So we need to now prepare more for the game, still more focused. Because last game, I think we played good, but we lost. So now we need to fight more for winning this trophy and make history.”
