Mamelodi Sundowns sent out the most players to national team duty in the PSL and following the end of the international window, Afrik-Foot details how each of them fared.

The Bafana Bafana goalkeeper kept one clean sheet while conceding a goal in two matches after a 3-0 win over Lesotho before a 1-1 draw with Nigeria as he played a key part in repelling some key shots that went his way.

The right-back got a rare chance in the Bafana Bafana team as he started Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Nigeria and he was impressive as he kept Moses Simon quiet.

A key cog in the Bafana Bafana team, he dominated headlines ahead of the Lesotho game but coach Hugo Broos still started him against the wishes of the opponents and he impressed as usual before starting the 1-1 draw with Nigeria when he had another great display.

Aubrey Modiba

The left-back had an impressive game against Lesotho, when he provided the assist for the first goal and also had a hand in the third one, but he was a surprise exclusion from the starting XI against the Super Eagles.

The striker was the one who did not enjoy his run with Bafana Bafana as Lyle Foster was preferred ahead of him. He got 16 minutes against Lesotho but was introduced in the final minute of the clash with the Super Eagles and barely had a touch.

The Namibian striker had a good outing as he played 90 minutes in the 2-1 loss to Malawi and the 3-0 victory over Sao Tome and Principe. Shalulile, now the PSL all-time top scorer, scored a hat-trick against African minnows Sao Tome.

The left-back started Zimbabwe’s 1-0 loss to Benin but missed out when the Warriors lost 1-0 to Rwanda due to accumulated yellow cards.

Veteran goalkeeper Denis Onyango ended his international retirement as he returned to the Uganda Cranes squad after four years but was a spectator as he watched from the bench when his team beat Mozambique 4-0 and then Somalia 2-0 with Richards Bay’s Salim Magoola preferred in goal.
