Kobamelo Kodisang’s agent has lamented over the winger’s treatment at Mamelodi Sundowns where he has become a bit-part player.
Kodisang joined Sundowns before the start of this season from Portuguese club Moreirense with high hopes of playing a key role and earning a place in the Bafana Bafana squad.
However, opportunities have been hard to come by under both former coach Manqoba Mngqithi and current boss Miguel Cardoso with the right winger afforded just 13 games across all competitions, eight of them starts, for which he has scored two goals and provided as many assists.
Agent laments Kodisang’s unfair treatment

Kodisang has failed to dislodge Lucas Ribeiro, Tashreeq Matthews, Themba Zwane and Thapelo Maseko, who are preferred ahead of him, and the frustration is now boiling up, going by the sentiments of his agent Mike Makaab.
“We are worried about Kobamelo Kodisang and his struggles for game-time because he’s a very talented footballer,” Maakab told FARPost.
“And I think he hasn’t been given a fair chance to compete for his position in the team, but we also understand that the players in his position are doing well, and the team is doing well.
“So we’re going to look at all the best possible options for his career because, as I said, he’s a talented player who should play regular football,” added the prominent agent, while hinting that the winger will look to explore a move elsewhere.
Will we see the 25-year-old again this season?

The 25-year-old has endured a frustrating stay at Sundowns with his last match coming in February when he got 31 minutes as Sundowns beat TS Galaxy 4-1.
That appears to be his final game of the season as Sundowns face Pyramids in the second leg of the CAF Champions League final on Sunday and he is unlikely to get minutes given even captain Themba Zwane was overlooked in the first leg.
Kodisang will hope to get some game time during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States next month when Sundowns take part in the June 14-July 13 tournament.
