Kaizer Chiefs Transfer News: Amakhosi boosted in pursuit of Ivory Coast captain!

Kaizer Chiefs might land another highly-rated midfielder with Premier Soccer League experience in the forthcoming off-season transfer window.

Despite signing 11 players across all departments at the start of the ongoing campaign, the Glamour Boys struggled when it mattered most, and are now battling to finish in the top-three to play in CAF Confederation Cup in the 2026/27 edition.

It explains why the management and the technical team have been looking for quality talents to further strengthen the team.

Isaac Cisse has been doing quite well for Golden Arrows in the ongoing campaign. As a matter of fact, this season he has made 21 appearances across all competitions with a return of four goals. Three of those strikes have come in 16 Premier Soccer League outings.

Will Chiefs land Cisse?

The 19-year-old U23 Ivory Coast captain has been linked with some top teams on the continent and the world at large.

“Cisse is attracting serious interest from some of the continent’s biggest clubs, as well as Europe as he continues to impress in his debut season in the Premier Soccer League,” iDiski Times reported.

“While Al Ahly, Kaizer Chiefs, Al Hilal Sudan and Belgian Pro League giants Club Brugge all said to be monitoring the industrious midfielder ahead of the upcoming transfer window, Arrows have rejected two official offers for the teenage sensation.

“Charleroi of the Belgian top-flight and Esperance Sportive de Tunis have made contact with the players’ representatives.

“Taraji are in the market for a direct replacement for Nigerian midfielder Onuche Ogbelu, who is poised to leave the club for a lucrative switch to Libya in the off-season but their opening proposal has been rebuffed,” they added.
