Kaizer Chiefs close to making key acquisition ahead of CAF assignments

Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly close to making a boardroom appointment that will boost them during their participation in continental competitions.

Chiefs are set to return to CAF assignments after qualifying for the Confederation Cup thanks to their Nedbank Cup win and the club is not just strengthening the squad but also looking to make key additions behind the scenes.

According to Soccer Laduma, Chiefs are keen to add experienced football administrator Kabelo Bosilong to boost their management structure ahead of the 2025-26 campaign with a view to improving their performance on the continent.

What will Bosilong be bringing to Chiefs?

Kabelo Bosilong

Bosilong, who has previously worked at SAFA, PSL and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will help in solving logistical and administrative challenges for Chiefs during their participation in continental competitions.

“He will be taking over the position of club administrator. It's believed his main job is to oversee the club's activities in Africa. He will also be working hand in hand with the team manager in the daily running of the club between management and the players. But his appointment is expected to be finalised,” a source at Chiefs told Soccer Laduma.

Chiefs marketing and commercial manager Jessica Motaung said this week that they will be going for all trophies on offer next term as she believes coach Nasreddine Nabi’s squad is capable of securing continental football again either through league position or cup win.

Bosilong is not the only ‘off the pitch signing’ being looked at as Chiefs are reported to be keen to add more professionals in key administrative positions to strengthen their operations.
