Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze has commented on his future with the club as the team enjoys a significant turnaround in form after a challenging period earlier in the year.
Following a difficult run of four consecutive defeats, Amakhosi have since rallied to secure four straight victories in the PSL. This impressive resurgence has propelled them to third place in the league standings with 42 points from 22 matches.
After their 2-0 victory against TS Galaxy over the weekend, Kaze was directly asked about his desire to remain at the club beyond the current season.

Kaizer Chiefs coach chooses to focus on results
In his response, Kaze acknowledged that a lack of consistency had been a persistent issue for the team, even during former head coach Nasreddine Nabi’s tenure.
While he remained tight-lipped about his long-term plans, he stressed that the coaching staff’s immediate priority is to serve the club and perform to the best of their ability in the remaining matches.
“I think that we are here to serve the club, and I believe that consistency has been lacking a little bit,” Kaze stated as quoted by iDiski Times.

Kaze discussses improvements at Naturena
“I remember last season we could win one or two games at maximum, but that consistency of having a run of three or four games was a little bit lacking.”
“We emphasise every day at training that we need to stay hungry every time. We need to take the opportunity of every training, every exercise that we do to improve ourselves because we are in such a big club that you can’t allow yourself to relax or to feel that you have arrived,” he continued.
Regarding his future, Kaze concluded, “We have eight games to go, and as coaches, we know what we want to do. We are here to serve the club, and we will do our best for the remaining games.”
