Smart and intelligent Silva lauded
Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef has lauded Flavio Silva’s return to form after facing criticism earlier in the season.
“I think Silva, it’s not for me to discuss about Silva. Silva showed from the start of the season that he’s the kind of striker that in any situation in the box he can score,” he told the media.
“He’s so smart, he’s so intelligent in the box and he’s helping the team. Now he’s at seven goals and you see even today the goal, that it’s a technical individual [goal] that he scored.

“So, he helped us because we didn’t start very well the game. So he helped us and he made it more easy for us in the game,” Ben Youssef added.
Why was Msimango dropped by Chiefs?
Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef has explained the decision to drop defender Given Msimango to the bench against Magesi FC, despite the player’s solid performances in recent outings.
“We don’t depend on one player. It’s a big squad, and we have to rotate,” said in a presser.

“Sometimes it’s about prevention, and sometimes it’s the workload. So the decision was made last week, and we knew that [Inacio] Miguel would play this game. That’s the plan that we prepared, and we are proud because every player who came to pitch helped.
“Miguel also performed very well today [Wednesday]. Last week it was Given [Msimango]. So sometimes we need to make rotations,” he continued.
Mentality shift enough for Chiefs to beat Magesi
Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef believes that a shift in mentality was critical to ensuring that Amakhosi maintain their winning streak in the match against Magesi FC.
“I think the most important thing is that the performance came before. The performance was there.

We discussed a lot about the mentality that we have to play for this game, because it will be a difficult game. But I’m so proud of the mentality that we show and the spirit that we show in the pitch.”
