Kaizer Chiefs defender Given Msimango has opened up about the difficulties he faced in the just-concluded season when he struggled with injuries that forced him to play sparingly.
“This season tested me in every possible way. From injury setbacks, recovering, then suffering the same injury again when I thought I was ready,” Msimango said as per KickOff.
“There were moments that could’ve broken me. But through it all, I kept my faith, stayed patient, and trusted God’s timing,” added the defender, who credits his family for helping him cope with the tough times.
Will Chiefs regret losing Kaze and Ben Youssef?

Kaizer Chiefs opted against extending the contracts of co-coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze but the two look to be highly-rated in South Africa as they are reportedly close to landing PSL jobs.
Kaze is reported to be close to becoming the Sekhukhune United boss while Ben Youssef is linked to the Durban City job.
The duo led Chiefs to their best finish in six years, when they finished third in the PSL, but Amakhosi opted to release them and have reportedly settled on Fernando Da Cruz as their new coach.
It could come to bite the Glamour Boys if they struggle under Da Cruz while Kaze and Ben Youssef go on to enjoy success at the other PSL clubs.
Pitso drops bombshell after Kaizer Chiefs ‘snub’

Pitso Mosimane has given a hint that he could have landed a new job just days after Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly opted against giving the job.
Mosimane has been heavily linked to the Chiefs post but reports indicate they are set to appoint Frenchman Fernando Da Cruz instead. However, the ex-Mamelodi Sundowns boss looks to have secured a role elsewhere after a WhatsApp group was set up by his management under the name ‘Coach Pitso Announcement’.
That has sent tongues wagging over the veteran coach’s next destination but it looks like Chiefs have missed out again.
