In a significant first, Kaizer Chiefs will step onto the pitch in KwaZulu-Natal for the 2025 Prince Mangosuthu Legacy Cup, marking their debut in the annual tournament.
Typically a showcase for local KZN clubs, this year's competition, held in Ulundi on October 11, brings a new level of excitement with the inclusion of one of South Africa's most storied football teams.
The tournament, which coincides with the FIFA international break, offers a unique opportunity for Amakhosi to maintain match fitness and test their squad depth.
While Bafana Bafana are engaged in crucial World Cup qualifiers, Chiefs will face tough competition from a mix of professional and up-and-coming clubs.

The draw, which took place at the tournament's official launch in Ulundi, has set the stage for an action-packed day.
MANGOSUTHU LEGACY CUP DRAW
The day kicks off at 9:00 AM with a semi-final clash between AmaZulu and last season's surprising champions, Njampela FC, an ambitious ABC Motsepe League team from KZN.
Njampela FC will be looking to prove that their 2024 victory over Richards Bay FC was no fluke.
All eyes, however, will be on the second semi-final at 12:00 PM, where Chiefs will face Nsingizini from Eswatini. This will be an intriguing encounter, as Chiefs look to assert their dominance and secure a spot in the final. The winners of both semi-finals will then battle it out for the trophy in the final match, scheduled for 4:00 PM.
With tickets priced at a fan-friendly R50, available from TicketPro and Spar outlets, the tournament is expected to draw a massive crowd, eager to see the Glamour Boys in action in a new setting.
