TS Galaxy boss confirms Kaizer Chiefs contact with high-flying forward

While Kaizer Chiefs boss Bobby Motaung has claimed that they will not be busy in the January transfer market, the latest reports indicate that they are keen to sign a top youngster.

Motaung claimed Chiefs will not be active in the transfer market but put in a caveat, saying the club will not pass up a chance to sign a top player if he was available.

It looks like Chiefs are doing just that following reports on Sunday evening that the club is keen on re-signing their former player Puso Dithejane from TS Galaxy.

Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi let the cat out of the bag, when he revealed that there have been behind the scenes efforts by Chiefs bosses to lure the player back to Naturena, although he was not happy with the manner the Glamour Boys are going about their business.

“I see most journalists are linking him with a move back to Kaizer Chiefs, so yes, yesterday I was with him, and he showed me a number of missed calls from Kaizer Jr, another missed call from Tera Maliwa, the Kaizer Chiefs scout, and the boy’s father also phoned me to inform me he also received a call from Bobby [Motaung],” Tim Sukazi said via the radio station Ikwekwezi as per Kick Off.

“He also showed me a missed call from coach Vela Khumalo. It seems Kaizer Chiefs are still in the wooing process. Well, let’s see how it will go. Bobby has made contact with Dithejane’s father, but he advised Bobby to speak to me about the boy.

“If Chiefs come to us, we will sit down and listen to what they put on the table and take it from there.”

Dithejane who came through the ranks at Chiefs has had a good season at Galaxy, where he has four goals and six assists in 15 matches this term, and it seems his former club is keen to bring him back.

It remains to be seen if an agreement will be reached for the 21-year-old winger, who left Chiefs after being asked to help out as a ball-boy.
