Kaizer Chiefs transfer News: UK-based midfielder joins Amakhosi – Reports

Published on by

Kaizer Chiefs are working hard to get the players they need ahead of the 2025/26 Premier Soccer League campaign.

Reports have it that the Glamour Boys have signed Paseka Mako, Thabiso Monyane, Asanele Velebayi, and Etiosa Ighodaro. The signings have been included in Amakhosi's forthcoming pre-season trip to the Netherlands.

However, more players are expected to join the Soweto giants before the new campaign starts in the next two months or so. Afrik-Foot understands that coach Nasreddine Nabi is still looking for a striker and a midfielder to ensure he gets a strong squad to deliver domestically and abroad.

Chiefs have, reportedly, signed another creative midfielder to bring quality to the team.

Who has Chiefs signed?

“UK-based midfielder Ethan Chislett has opted to join Kaizer Chiefs, turning down offers from overseas clubs. The 26-year-old, who spent last season with Port Vale FC, chose not to renew his contract with the English League Two club,” FARPost reported.

“Following his departure from Port Vale, he reportedly attracted the interest of Scottish Premiership outfit Motherwell and EFL League One team Wigan. Chislett has reportedly agreed to a two-year deal with the 2025 Nedbank Cup champions, Chiefs, with an option for extension.”

Prior to joining Port Vale, the midfielder played 123 games for Wimbledon in the three seasons he was contracted to them, scoring 16 goals and providing eight assists in the process. Last season, he found the back of the net four times for Port Vale with three assists from the 25 games he played.

Whether Chiefs will now end the club's pursuit of Azam's Fesal Salum is a wait-and-see since Chislett's style of play is similar to that of the Tanzania international.
