Kemiso Motaung says Kaizer Chiefs players must now deliver a trophy to the club’s founder and chairman Kaizer Motaung Sr.
Chiefs have gone nine years without a trophy, which has seen them chop and change coaches, with Tunisian Nasreddine Nabi now in the hot seat at Naturena but Kemiso feels the current technical bench and the squad has what it takes to end the drought.
Amakhosi are in the running for the Carling Knockout, of which they have a big match against Mamelodi Sundowns in the quarter-final on Saturday November 2, and will also hope to challenge for the Nedbank Cup.
Those two appear the most realistic targets for them given they have won two and lost as many in the PSL and Kemiso thinks it’s time to deliver silverware for her father who celebrated his 80th birthday this month.
Kemiso has only one message to Kaizer Chiefs

“A win is something important, the chairman has been looking for trophies for the past ten years, it’s about time now, I think these guys understand and if they don’t, they should, they not only owe the chairman, but the supporters too, we owe the chairman,” Kemiso said as quoted by iDiski Times.
“It would be wonderful… we have the right technical team, amazing technical staff. We have great players, there’s a great environment here, there’s great facilities built by our chairman.
“You can’t do anything else but give back and really succeed, that’s all the chairman wants, it’s a success, we must give him that.”
Kemiso’s sentiments go in line with Nabi’s desire to win every game even if they are still in the rebuilding phase.
Can Nabi end Amakhosi’s long wait for a trophy?

The tactician is already experiencing bumps on the road after losing back-to-back league matches but Kemiso is backing them to bring back the glory days to Naturena after almost a decade of struggle.
“We do have [the right technical team], the best from North Africa, we have great analysts, an amazing goalkeeper coach also from North Africa,” she added.
“Kaizer [Motaung Jr] has done a really good job in bringing a team that have arsenal, that have a brain and mind to understand success, to actualise it, these people are proper, they are the real deal.”
Chiefs play away to Magesi FC on Wednesday night when they hope to return to winning ways.
