Thembinkosi Lorch delivered the perfect response to Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos when he scored yet again to help Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club to another win.
Lorch scored the opening goal for Wydad, who 2-1 away to Olympique de Safi in the Moroccan top flight on Sunday, with former Watford star Nordin Amrabat grabbing the second for the Casablanca-based side.

The former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns forward timed his run well before connecting well with Amrabat’s cross to break the deadlock after 25 minutes.
Lorch scored fifth goal of the season
Amrabat scored the second for Wydad on the stroke of halftime via a penalty and they seemed to be cruising to a 2-0 win until Sofian El Moudane pulled one back also from the spot for the hosts nine minutes from time.
Lorch has now scored five goals and provided three assists in nine games for Wydad since signing permanently for the club in the off-season, following a successful six-month loan spell.
His latest goal comes just days after Broos said that he will not consider him for selection because he did not convince him previously added to the fact that he considers the 32-year-old ‘old’.
What did Broos say about Nyoso?
“You have to make choices. Lorch was once with us, I think two years ago when we played in Morocco and he was playing very good at Pirates at that moment,” Broos said on Thursday when unveiling his final squad for this month’s friendly with Zambia.
“His performance was not good. Then I followed him, he played, then he didn’t play. At Pirates he dropped out of the team and then he went to Sundowns because Rulani [Mokoena] wanted him.
“But after a few months he didn’t play anymore. Ok, now he’s playing good in Morocco, but you also have to look at his age. This is not the future, I’m very sorry, this is not the future.”
Loch, however, continues doing his talking on the pitch and if he continues in this form, the calls for his inclusion will only increase.
