Mamelodi Sundowns yet to give in on Stellenbosch FC star

Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly still on the heels of Stellenbosch FC star as they look to acquire another major signing ahead of the close of the transfer window.

Despite having bringing in some additions, the Brazilians have not been as active in the transfer market during this window as they have typically been in recent seasons.

They have only made four signings, bringing in Kobamelo Kodisang, Kegan Johannes, Asekho Tiwani and Arthur de Oliveira Sales.

They have been linked with some players like Fawaaz Basadien and Macbeth Mahlangu but have seemingly made no further movements in bringing them on board.

However, according to Soccer Laduma, Sundowns are still pushing to secure the signature of the Stellies midfielder Jayden Adams.

SUNDOWNS REPORTEDLY STILL PUSHING TO SECURE STELLENBOSCH FC STAR

“It will all go down to what Stellenbosch FC want at the end of the day because Sundowns are really interested in the player,” the source told Soccer Laduma.

“They haven't stopped talking to the necessary people for the move to happen before the window registration period closes in September.

“Yes, Stellenbosch say he is not for sale but if Sundowns offer the right price then he could end up at Chloorkop. They are serious about him and they want him this season.”

The report further stated that Adams is also interested in moving to the league champions given the type of the project Sundowns have.

“As for the player, it's about securing his future as a player as well as a person. So, he has interest to move to Sundowns but he is still contracted to Stellenbosch and they are the ones to make the final decision though it will all depend on the money that Sundowns will offer before the end of the transfer window period. Sundowns want him and he wants Sundowns.”
