Manqoba Mngqithi has made a sensational return to Golden Arrows in what is his third stint at the club.
Mngqithi has been without a job since leaving Mamelodi Sundowns last December and with his experience and his ties to the club, Arrows became a natural fit.
Abafana Bes'thende confirmed Mngqithi’s appointment on Monday through their social media accounts, confirming that he will be joined by Musa Bilankulu and Kagiso Dikgacoi in the technical team.
The 53-year-old began his coaching career with Arrows in 2007, guiding the club to the MTN8 title, their first and only trophy, before leaving to join AmaZulu and then Chippa United before returning for a brief spell at the club again in 2012.
Third stint at Arrows for the tactician

He then went on to join Sundowns in 2013, where he stayed for 11 years as assistant coach to Pitso Mosimane and then co-coach with Rulani Mokwena.
When Mokwena left Sundowns last July, Mngqithi was elevated to head coach but he lasted six months before he was sacked in December after a poor start in the CAF Champions League group stages, to be replaced by Miguel Cardoso.
Arrows have been without a coach since Mabhuti Khenyeza left to join Chippa and the club has opted to return a familiar name in the hot seat.
When is Mngqithi’s first match?

Mngqithi will hope to use his experience at Sundowns and the other teams to improve the fortunes of Arrows, who are 11th in the PSL with 20 points from 16 matches.
The tactician will get a baptism of fire as his first match is against his former team Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday March 5 when the Brazilians will be going for a fifth straight league win.
Sundowna have already beaten Arrows twice this season and Mngqithi was in charge when they won 5-0 in the Telkom Knockout in October while Cardoso led them to a 4-0 victory in February.
