Relebohile Mofokeng’s father Sechaba has lifted the lid on the lifestyle of the Orlando Pirates forward that has made him stay away from off-field issues.
Mofokeng has managed to keep himself grounded despite the fame that comes with playing for Pirates and being the shining light as he has been since his promotion to the senior team.
Still just 20, Rele was already a superstar at 19 with his goals and assists leading Pirates to trophy wins as well as victories in the league, seeing him attract interest from clubs abroad.
What keeps Mofokeng humble?

Mofokeng remains humble despite the hype around him and his father says his personality has played a large part in the way he carries himself around.
“He’s boring. No clubs, no chaos. If he’s not at training, he’s home. If he’s not playing for Pirates, he’s watching my team. Sometimes I ask myself – is this guy really in the PSL?” Sechaba told iDiski Times.
Mofokeng Snr says part of what is being witnessed from the Pirates youngster is also down to his upbringing as he was taught to respect everyone while ensuring he does not get in trouble.
Rele’s parents not controlling him

“We’re not controlling him. We’re guiding him,” he added.
“Helping him manage what comes with this life because, fame is a tricky thing. Football doesn’t just happen on the pitch. It happens in how you live, how you respect people how you carry yourself.
“We raised him to respect everyone. Even the guy on the road, he might help you when you’ve got a puncture or help push your car when you are out of petrol. So, respect everyone.”
Mofokeng, who has already won three trophies at Pirates, was the club’s leading scorer last season with 12 goals and 15 assists in 49 games across all competitions.
