Nasreddine Nabi, who joined Kaizer Chiefs at the beginning of the season, has confirmed he rejected an offer to coach the Tunisian national team.

Despite this, Nabi chose to remain with Chiefs rather than accept the international role.

NABI ON CHOOSING CHIEFS OVER TUNISIA

“I’d like to say thank you to Dr Kaizer Motaung, to Kaizer Jr, Bobby Motaung and the entire management,” said Nabi following Chiefs’ 1-0 victory over Stellenbosch FC in a league tie on Friday in Cape Town.

“I have been offered an opportunity to go coach my country and we [Chiefs management] have sat together and decided that I’m going to pass this big opportunity to coach my mother country.

“But I feel it’s an honour to be here and I say thank you to everyone and the management.”
