Nasreddine Nabi recently parted ways with Premier Soccer League side Kaizer Chiefs after slightly more than a year.
When he accepted the Amakhosi offer, the Tunisian helped them end the 10-year trophy drought by winning the Nedbank Cup. However, he was shown the door, this season, after just six league games, something that surprised many football lovers in Mzansi.
Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef, who were brought to the team by Nabi, were retained and eventually promoted to co-coach the Glamour Boys.

Nabi snubs Kaze and Ben Youssef
In his farewell note, the former AS FAR Rabat coach thanked Amakhosi, fans and the management for giving him an opportunity to serve them. He, however, didn't mention Kaze and Ben Youssef.
“To my players: I could not say goodbye and hug you as I would have wished, but know that I am proud of you and grateful for all the efforts you made during my time at the club. To the young players: you are the jewels of this club. Believe in yourselves, work hard, and learn from every moment. I ask you to dream big regarding your personal careers and to have great ambitions equal to your talent,” he posted on his Instagram account.
“A very big thank you to the majority of the group who wrote messages and called me. Your words touched me immensely. You now have everything you need to achieve all the goals we set for ourselves, and I know you can do it. Thank you to the Chairman, Dr Motaung, for giving me the opportunity to wear these colours and supporting me.
“It is indeed an institution that you have built, and I will remain proud for life to have worn the gold and black colours. I also thank the management.

“To the true supporters: thank you for your loyalty and your faith in this project. Your support was the most important one; you are the true strength of the club. I promised you a very competitive team locally and continentally, and you are now very close to achieving it. Thank you to Safi Majdi and Elyes Mzoughi for your work, your drive, your passion, your loyalty, and your support. It was a pleasure to work with you. Thank you to the analysts Yusha, Mark, and Vaughan for all your efforts and respect you gave me.
“I leave with intact pride of having worn these gold and black colours, of having ended the drought, and of having been part of the greatest club in South Africa. Shapa Khosi Shapaa,” Nabi concluded.
Kaze responds to the snub
Kaze and Ben Youssef haven't spoken about that until recently when the team played the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup's second Preliminary Round against the Democratic Republic of Congo outfit AS Simba that ended goalless.
Kaze didn't say anything regarding the snub, but appreciated the time he worked with him in the Premier Soccer League and Yanga SC.
“About the letter, about that, I don’t have any comment; I worked with Coach Nabi for three seasons. I wish him very well, I told him that, and I hope that he’s gonna find something that suits him in the near future. I wish him all the best,” he told the media.
Chiefs are currently preparing for the Premier Soccer League assignment against Siwelele FC to be staged at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday.
