Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has issued an apology to Kaizer Chiefs following a humiliating 4-0 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns.

This was Nabi's third defeat in all competitions since he took over during the off season.

He has lost twice to the Brazilians while the other one came in the Betway Premiership against SuperSport United last week.

After the game against Masandawana on Saturday, Nabi first congratulated the opponents, admitting they deserved to walk away with a victory.

NASREDDINE NABI APOLOGIES TO KAIZER CHIEFS FANS

“First of all, it's to congratulate our opponent. We believe that they deserve the win. Secondly, I would like to apologise to our fans,” said Nabi.

“Because today, we were not good in any way, defensively, in both boxes. It was a day [where it didn't work out] in all ways. For that, I would like to apologise to our fans who are down tonight after the result.

“But we can promise them that we are going to work harder to make the team better, to improve the team. We knew that the team was not as ready as people would think.

“But today was an accident that we believe that it will not happen again in the future.”
