Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has issued a rallying call to the club’s supporters ahead of their final game of the season against Polokwane City.
Chiefs host Rise and Shine in the season finale at the FNB Stadium but while they have won the Nedbank Cup and secured qualification to the CAF Confederation Cup next season, one thing is yet to be resolved.
That is a top eight place which will come with playing in the MTN8 next season, another chance for the Glamour Boys to win a trophy, having missed out this term following a 10th-place finish in 2023-24.
It has left Chiefs in a must-win position as the race for top eight is crowded with six teams vying for seventh and eighth positions.
Six teams battling for two positions

Polokwane City on 33 points, Chippa United on 31, same as Chiefs and Marumo Gallants, as well as Richards Bay (30 points) and Magesi (29) points are all in with a chance of finishing either seventh or eighth bust must win their matches and hope results go their way elsewhere.
However, Chiefs have an edge over Chippa, Gallants, Richards Bay and Magesi as the Chilli Boys have already completed their season and if Nabi’s team win, then they will move to 34 points and ahead of Chippa and also lock out the Natal Rich Boys who have an inferior goal difference.
With all that at stake, Nabi has called on Chiefs fans to turn up in big numbers to give his team a final push to seal the top eight position.
What has Nabi told Chiefs fans?

“If you look at the table you will see that the situation is only going to be resolved in the last game of the season,” Nabi was quoted saying by iDiski Times.
“But we’re going to do everything, we are confident, and we are playing at home for the last game, and we are going to have our supporters – everyone knows how important it is.
“I want to ask all the fans to come in FNB Stadium next game, we need them, we need their support because the game is very, very [tough]. We need the three points. We need our fans to come in numbers and together we will do it.”
Nabi’s team have been disappointing in the league, where they have gone eight straight matches without tasting victory, with four draws and as many defeats, piling pressure on Nabi.
