Ndlovu reveals agreement that turned the tide for Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu has expressed his satisfaction at getting on the scoresheet again, stating his desire to end the season on a high note after the team returned to winning ways.

Chiefs are preparing to host TS Galaxy at FNB Stadium on Sunday, riding a wave of momentum from three straight victories against Durban City, Magesi, and ORBIT College. This winning streak followed a difficult period of three consecutive losses that effectively derailed their title aspirations.

Ndlovu, alongside Lebohang Maboe, has been central to this resurgence. He revealed that a frank discussion among the players was the catalyst for their improved performances.

“It’s great to move from one goal to a second for the season. It comes down to our collective effort because we made an agreement as a team that certain things had to change, and we committed to that,” Ndlovu explained as per iDiski Times.

“I’m so happy that I got my second goal. We understand the expectations at this club. We feel we have done well with these three wins in a row, but of course, there’s always room for improvement.”

Their upcoming opponents, TS Galaxy, are winless in their last eight matches. However, Ndlovu is cautious, recognising that the Nedbank Cup finalists will be highly motivated to secure a top-eight finish.

“At this stage of the season, it’s difficult to make predictions because every team is fighting for something, and every point matters. It will be an interesting game,” he added.

“We just need to prepare thoroughly and continue our winning streak, because that’s what we need to do to finish as high as we want to on the log.”

Ndlovu has made 21 appearances for Chiefs this season, contributing two goals and one assist.
