NEW ERA BEGINS: Siwelele FC name new coach

Published on by

Siwelele FC, formerly known as SuperSport United have officially named Lehlohonolo Seema as their head coach ahead of their debut season in the Betway Premiership, marking a powerful homecoming for a man deeply rooted in the club’s legacy.

Born in Lesotho, Seema spent eight years as a player at Bloemfontein Celtic, where he captained the side and became a fan favorite. His leadership on the pitch and connection to the Bloemfontein community made him a natural fit for the club’s revival under its new identity, Siwelele FC.

After retiring, Seema transitioned into coaching, taking charge of several PSL sides including Chippa United, Golden Arrows, and most recently Sekhukhune United, where he parted ways in March 2025 while the team was sitting fourth on the Premiership table.

Coaching Career Highlights

Chippa United: Guided the team to safety during a turbulent season.
Golden Arrows: Developed a reputation for nurturing young talent.
Sekhukhune United: Left the club in a strong position, showcasing tactical maturity and squad discipline.

What’s Next for Siwelele?

Seema’s first assignment will be a friendly against Orbit College as he begins preparations for the season opener against Golden Arrows on August 9.

The club will play its home fixtures at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville, with plans to eventually relocate to the Free State.
