I could have chased Maswanganyi!
Mlungisi Ngubane says he would have chased Patrick Maswanganyi out of the Orlando Pirates changeroom if was in charge of the team the day the star had an altercation with head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou.
Ouaddou and Maswanganyi had an explosive confrontation in the 2025/2026 season. The incident was revealed recently on an episode of the Orlando Pirates documentary series, Bucs Camp.
The incident happened at half-time against Marumo Gallants FC. Orlando Pirates were already leading 2-0 but the Morrocan coach felt the team was underperfoming, he singled out Maswanganyi, and staff and players had to come in to calm the tension.
“I was really disappointed with Tito,” Ngubane tells KickOff.
“When the coach was speaking, every Pirates player was sitting paying attention to him except Tito who was busy untying his bootlaces. A coach is speaking and Tito is untying his bootlaces. He is doing so at the same time he is mumbling to the teammate sitting next to him. All this is happening while the coach is addressing a serious thing.

“That’s when I raalised that this boy he’s got no respect for this coach. The coach was not on the wrong here, when the coach is addressing during half-time, sit down and listen to the coach,” he added.
