Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Sipho Chaine could be making his return to the Bafana Bafana team even more difficult after his mistakes against Richards Bay cost his team on Friday.
Chaine conceded twice from two long-range shots, something that had not been witnessed from him before and with such mistakes, his place in the national team for the World Cup could be in jeopardy, especially after he was snubbed for last month’s friendlies with Panama.

Former Orlando Pirates head coach and development guru Augusto Palacios has highlighted the significant, often overlooked, contributions of Nkosana and Mpumi Khoza to the club’s success.
The brothers are the sons of the “Iron Duke,” Dr. Irvin Khoza, who serves as the chairman of both Orlando Pirates and the Premier Soccer League. Mpumi holds the position of club director, while Nkosana leads the marketing department, with both heavily involved in the daily operations and seen as the club’s succession plan.
“Beyond the chairman, Orlando Pirates has Nkosana and Mpumi, who truly understand football,” Palacios told KickOff. “They’ve been with the club for many years. I’ve known them since they were 11 and 12 years old.”

Former Sekhukhune United and Orlando Pirates defender Edwin Gyimah has made the shocking revelation that he is now homeless, stating that he has been abandoned by everyone, including his own family in Ghana.
Gyimah, a veteran of South African football, amassed over 200 appearances in the country’s top flight. His extensive career saw him play for prominent clubs such as SuperSport United, Mpumalanga Black Aces, Orlando Pirates, Bidvest Wits, Black Leopards, and most recently, Sekhukhune United.
The 35-year-old Ghanaian international has been without a team since his contract with Sekhukhune United ended in July 2024. In a recent interview, Gyimah described how his life has spiraled downwards since becoming a free agent.
