The Rockets boss was open to letting his employer help the Glamour Boys who were in the market for the head of the technical team.

TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic has hinted he might have considered crossing over to Kaizer Chiefs when they were in the market for a tactician.

Ramovic had a relatively good 2023/24 season with the Rockets where he helped them to reach the Carling Knockout final but fell against eventual champions Stellenbosch. In the Premier Soccer League, Galaxy pushed to a top-six finish which is the first time they have achieved the fete.

His style attracted Botola Pro League and Throne Cup champions Raja Casablanca who were looking for Josef Zinbbauer's successor. However, the parties failed to agree on personal terms and the deal fell through.

In an initial interview, Galaxy owner Team Sukazu had been quoted saying he would love to see Amakhosi being handled by Ramovic, but the Glamour Boys went for experienced Tunisian Nasreddine Nabi.

The 45-year-old has now responded to the possibility of working with Amakhosi and the claim made by his employer.

“I have to be very grateful to God and to Tim that he gave me this opportunity [of coaching Galaxy],” the Serbian told the media.

“He is just fantastic, but why he [offered me to Chiefs], maybe he would like it for me because he also sees I try my best every day. I am the head coach for this beautiful club [Galaxy] and I’m very happy to be here.

“But if you ask me how I think about Chiefs, yes this is not a secret, I said it many times, it’s one of the best, maybe the most beautiful clubs in our league.”

Ramovic's 2024/25 season starts on Sunday with a tricky MTN8 quarter-final game against Stellenbosch.
