REVEALED: When will Nabi return to Kaizer Chiefs dugout

Published on by

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi is set to return to the sidelines for the team's highly anticipated match against Mamelodi Sundowns

Assistant coach Khalil Ben Youssef confirmed that Nabi will arrive back in South Africa this week, ending his temporary absence from the team.

Nabi had to travel to his home country of Tunisia after his wife was involved in a car accident. In his absence, the team has enjoyed a stellar start to the season, securing three wins from three games.

This perfect record places them second on the league table with nine points, only behind Sekhukhune United on goal difference.

The team's strong start under interim guidance has been a testament to the foundation laid by Nabi. Now, with the tough challenge of facing Mamelodi Sundowns on the horizon, Nabi’s return will provide a significant boost.

His presence on the sidelines is expected to be a crucial factor as the team looks to continue its perfect run against one of the league’s top teams.

NABI TO RETURN AHEAD OF SUNDOWNS TIE

“Coach Nabi will be with us this week, to prepare the game against Sundowns,” he stated.

About the club’s target, Ben Youssef said, “We have our target inside the team between the players and the technical staff.”

“And it’s written in our meeting room inside the village, you can ask about it. We know what we need to do, and we keep it between us.

“For us, we take it game by game, we don’t think about nothing, we don’t have any pressure.

“[But] for sure, Kaizer Chiefs is one of the biggest teams in South Africa – if we play in the league, we play to win the league.”
