Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies have officially secured the 2025 Hollywoodbets Super League title, making it six championships in a row and reinforcing their status as the most dominant force in South African women’s football. Even more impressive, they sealed the crown with two matches to spare, a testament to their unmatched consistency.
After 28 games, Banyana Ba Style sit comfortably at the summit with 74 points, built on 24 wins, two draws, and just two defeats. Their numbers tell the story: 80 goals scored – the highest in the league – and only eight conceded, making them the best attacking and defensive unit in the competition. Week after week, Sundowns have controlled games, moved the ball with precision, and shown the killer instinct that champions are made of.
Closest challengers TS Galaxy Queens and JVW FC remain on 66 points, highlighting the fierce battle behind Sundowns. Yet, despite the pressure, the champions never relinquished control of the title race.
This sixth consecutive triumph is more than a milestone – it mirrors the winning culture that defines the entire Sundowns brand. Just as the men’s team has dominated the Premier Soccer League with eight consecutive league titles, the women’s side continues to set the standard in their division. Together, they have created a dynasty that stretches across South African football, raising the bar for professionalism, tactical excellence, and ambition.
Sundowns Ladies still have two fixtures to complete: an away clash with Ezemvelo Women’s Football Club, whom they beat 2–0 in the first round thanks to goals from Nonhlanhla Mthandi and Thato Letsoso, followed by a blockbuster showdown against TS Galaxy Queens. Earlier this season, Sundowns triumphed 3–1 in that fixture, with Refilwe Tholakele netting a sensational hat-trick and Nomvula Kgoale scoring Galaxy’s consolation.
Galaxy, meanwhile, face UWC before their season-ending clash with Sundowns, while JVW will wrap up their campaign against First Touch Ladies, aiming to secure a top-three finish.
