Mamelodi Sundowns have strengthened their squad with another addition to their already star-studded squad.
Masandawana have undergone significant changes, including the departure of several technical team members and previous head coach Rulani Mokwena.
The club seems to have its sights set on winning more trophies than last season. The Brazilians clinched both African Football League and DStv [now Betway] Premiership titles in the past 12 months.
Sundowns have now recalled midfielder Erwin Saavedra back to the club to bolster their midfield contingent as they continue as they make preparations for next season.
Club Bolivar confirmed the news on their social media pages on Sunday evening.

“Club Bolívar reports that Erwin Saavedra's 6-month loan has come to an end. The Mamelodi Sundowns Club of South Africa has requested his reinstatement for the preseason,” stated the club’s statement [translated from Spanish].
“We wish Erwin the greatest success in this new stage of his career. We appreciate his commitment and dedication during his time with us and are confident that he will continue to excel in his professional career.”
Saavedra is the fifth player to join Sundowns, following the signings of Arthur de Oliveira Sales, Kegan Johannes, Kobamelo Kodisang, and Asekho Tiwani.
Masandawana has also parted company with Nyiko Mobbie, Thabiso Kutumela, Promise Mkhuma, Junior Mendieta, Sifiso Ngobeni, Bongani Zungu, Brian Onyango, and Gaston Sirino.
Thabang Sibanyoni and Etiosa Ighodaro were loaned to Richards Bay FC and AmaZulu FC respectively. Both of them took part in the KZN Premier’s Cup in Ulundi over the weekend.
Additionally, according to reports Luvuyo Phewa is set to join AmaZulu on loan after spending last season on loan at Cape Town Spurs.
Katlego Mohamme is said to have signed for Sekhukhune United permanently after spending last season on loan at the Limpopo-based club while the futures of Nicholas Lukhubeni, Siyanda Msani and Gadinkame Modise are still uncertain.
