Olisa Ndah and Thabiso Sesane were in action last weekend as Orlando Pirates beat Carling All Stars select to the Carling Black Label Cup.
Strikes from Sifiso Lethuli and Boitumelo Radio Pane ensured the Sea Robbers ended the year on a high. Prior to Sunday’s triumph, the Buccaneers had won MTN8, the Carling Knockout and managed to top the Premier Soccer League table ahead of the defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
It was a theme of joy to see the return of Ndah who has been out since September 2024, and Sesane who missed action from February 2025.
The duo was solid, further underlining the massive depth that the Sea Robbers are enjoying in their bid to win the South African top tier crown.
Ndah and Sesane know they are important
“It was so important for them, so important for us. You know that we have big squad. But unfortunately, it’s difficult for me to make some choices, because I can put only 11 players on the team sheet,” Ouaddou said in his interview with the reporters..
“And if Mr. Infantino change the law in the in the in the next years or next few months, it will be easier for me to put more players.

“But they always know that they are very important for me. All these players that you have seen today, they are working hard in training, close communication with them to tell them that they are very important for us.
“And maybe at the end of the season, some of these players that we have seen can help us to be successful,” he concluded.

Mbekezeli Mbokazi, who has since left for the Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire, was introduced into the team by the then coach Jose Riveiro following Sesane’s injury.
The youngster formed a formidable patnership with Nkosinathi Sibisi and later on with Lebone Seema. It will be interesting to see how the former Morocco international will now integrate Ndah and Sesane into his squad.
