Talks between Atalanta and Napoli over Ademola Lookman have reportedly hit an impasse.
The Bergamo outfit are adamant about their €60 million valuation, and are prepared to keep hold of their talisman for the 2025/26 season. Napoli, however, are admirers of the 27-year-old, and have been in discussion with Atalanta all through the summer.
With both parties deadlocked, it appears the reigning Serie A champions have devised a plan to force the hand of their rival.

Is Jack Grealish Napoli’s fall-back for Ademola Lookman?
Per Sky Sports, Antonio Conte’s side are weighing up bids for out-of-favour Premier League wingers Jack Grealish and Alejandro Garnacho.

By briefing that they only have €45 million to spend, and can only buy one of the two, it appears they are looking to light a fire under Atalanta and soften their stance over Lookman.
While both Grealish and Garnacho are on the market, neither is like to be sold for that price, especially as the latter in particular is attracting interest from a host of other clubs, including the likes of Chelsea and Atletico Madrid.
