Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman was on target as Atalanta edged Roma 2-1 in a Serie A clash on Monday at the Gewiss Stadium.
The Nigerian international started the game and was involved in much of Atalanta’s early attacking play.

He opened the scoring in the 9th minute with a sharp finish inside the box, giving the home side an early lead. It was his 15th Serie A goal of the season.
Atalanta, however, eased off after the opener, allowing Roma back into the game.
The visitors found an equaliser through Bryan Cristante, who headed in a Mathias Soule cross to make it 1-1.
The goal appeared to jolt Atalanta back to life. They pressed forward with Lookman and Charles De Ketelaere leading the charge, but couldn’t find another breakthrough before the break.
In the second half, Gian Piero Gasperini's men kept pushing and were rewarded in the 76th minute when substitute Ibrahim Sulemana scored what proved to be the winning goal.
