Ademola Lookman and six other Super Eagles players to have scored against Barcelona

Super Eagles striker Ademola Lookman scored a goal and set up another in Atletico Madrid’s 4-0 win over Barcelona in the Copa del Rey, Afrik Foot reports.

The former Atalanta man put in a brilliant shift against Hansi Flick’s side, earning plaudits from many after a job well done.

Lookman now joins six other Nigerian attackers on the list of players to have scored against the Catalan giants.

A goal and an assist against Hansi Flick’s men was the 28-year-old’s first goal contribution in front of his new home fans at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano.

Akor Adams

Adams came off the bench to score in Sevilla’s 4-1 win against Barcelona back in October 2025.

The goal ushered him into even greater things as the next game he played was his debut for the Super Eagles, and he did so in style, coming off the bench to score against Lesotho.

He’s become a regular in the Nigerian national team since then, forming a bond with Victor Osimhen in attack.

Samuel Chukwueze

The Fulham winger, on loan from AC Milan, spent five years at Villareal before heading to the Giuseppe Meazza.

In his time with the Yellow submarines, Chukwueze scored three goals and provided one assist in nine games against Barcelona.

Ramon Azeez

Azeez was a part of the Granada team that stunned Barcelona on Matchday 9 of the 2019/2020 La Liga season.

He scored the second goal of the game against a Barcelona side that had Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi, ending Granada’s run of five years without a win against the Catalan giants.

Kalu Uche

Kalu Uche came on for UD Almeria in the final 10 minutes of the game against Barcelona in the 2007/2008 season.

He scored in the 84th minute to hold Pep Guardiola’s side to a draw after Samuel Eto’o had given Blaugrana the lead.

Across spells as a player in RCD Mallorca and Real Betis, Finidi George scored three goals and provided two assists in nine games against Barcelona, while Christopher Ohen (SD Compostela) scored two goals against Barcelona in the 90’s.
