When is AFCON 2025?
The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to take place from December 21, 2025 to January 2026. It will be the first AFCON tournament to straddle two different calendar years.

Given that the draw will take place at SuperSport studios, fans in Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya and Ghana can catch the draw live on SuperSport.

Who will host AFCON 2025?
AFCON 2025 will take place in Morocco. It is worth mentioning that Guinea were initially selected as the hosts, but their hosting rights were stripped, and a new bidding process was initiated.
This will be Morocco's second time as hosts, and their first since 1988.
Which teams will be involved in the AFCON 2025 Qualifiers?
A total of 48 teams will be split into 12 groups of four teams, who will square off against each other, and the top two teams in each group will book a spot at the Nations Cup. For the draw, these 48 teams will be divided into four pots, according to their FIFA ranking.
Defending champions Ivory Coast, runners-up Nigeria, and hosts Morocco are in Pot 1, while the teams that advanced through the Preliminary Round (Chad, Eswatini, Liberia, and South Sudan) are in Pot 4.
