EXCL: Ahmed Musa move to join ex-Chelsea star at Kaysar Kyzylorda dismissed as false

Former Super Eagles captain and Kano Pillars forward Ahmed Musa will not be joining FC Kaysar Kyzylorda in Kazakhstan, Afrik Foot can confirm.

The 33-year-old, who returned to his boyhood club Kano Pillars in 2024 as both player and general manager, has firmly rejected the rumours linking him to the Kazakh outfit.

Reports suggesting he was set to reunite with fellow Nigerian international Victor Moses were completely unfounded.

Ahmed Musa to Kaysar Kyzylorda dismissed

Multiple reports suggested that the former Leicester City forward was reportedly in line to join his former Super Eagles teammate at the Kazakh club.

Moses joined the club as a free agent last month, and hopes among Nigerian fans were raised when news emerged of the possibility that two Nigerians could soon be wearing the club’s colours.

Meanwhile, despite the widespread speculation earlier this week, Afrik Foot understands that this is not true.

Musa and Moses: Former Super Eagles Teammates

Musa and Victor Moses have shared the pitch for the Nigeria Super Eagles for several years, forming a notable partnership at the international level.

Both players featured in major tournaments, including the 2018 FIFA World Cup, where Moses and Musa combined to make key moments for the team, such as Musa’s goal against Iceland.

How would Musa and Ex-Chelsea star link up at Kaysar?

Seeing Musa and former Chelsea star together at Kaysar Kyzylorda would be a reunion of two of Nigeria’s most experienced internationals.

Their years of playing together for the Super Eagles suggest a strong on-field understanding, with Musa’s goal-scoring instincts complementing Moses’ pace on the wing.
