Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been making headlines ahead of the summer transfer window, as uncertainty continues to grow over his future at Galatasaray, Afrik-Foot reports.
The former Napoli forward has been one of the most prolific strikers in European football in recent seasons and with just a few months until another summer window, top European sides have already begun showing interest once again as they prepare to strengthen their squads for next season.

Premier League giants Arsenal have reportedly revived their interest in the Nigerian striker and are considering a move once the summer transfer window opens.
The Gunners are looking to strengthen their centre-forward position ahead of next season and are impressed with the form of the Nigerian forward, who has long been on their radar.
Recent reports also revealed that Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta was in Turkey to watch the striker in action on Sunday during the Istanbul derby between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, where Osimhen opened the scoring with an improvised finish in the first half of the 3-0 win.
The Super Eagles forward is viewed as the missing piece needed to build a dominant squad that is capable of competing both in Europe and domestically for years to come.
Despite heavy investment in the attack last summer, Arsenal have relied majorly on set-piece situations to score goals this season, with most of their attackers underperforming, which has led to the search for a new centre-forward.
Osimhen, meanwhile, has built a strong reputation as one of Europe’s elite centre-forwards. Since joining Galatasaray in 2024, he has scored 57 goals in 72 games, including 20 goals across all competitions this season which is more than any Arsenal player has managed. His seven goals in the UEFA Champions League this season also surpasses any Arsenal player’s tally.

However, a deal may not be straightforward due to financial demands. Galatasaray paid €75 million to sign the 27-year-old on a permanent deal from Napoli last summer and could demand just over €100 million before they consider selling him.
The Super Eagles forward also earns a high salary, meaning Arsenal would likely have to make him one of their highest-paid players to convince him to join, as they hope to be able to complete a deal ahead of next season.
However, it also depends on how quickly they can move ahead of other interested clubs, with the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona also reportedly keen on signing the Nigerian forward this summer.
Osimhen to Arsenal: Who is at risk?
The potential arrival of Victor Osimhen at Arsenal this summer could create uncertainty over the future of some players at the club, with Victor Gyokeres the most likely player to be affected.

Given his high transfer fee and wages, Osimhen would not be signed to sit on the bench and would be expected to start key matches. This could see Gyokeres’ time at the North London club come to an end.
Gyokeres arrived from Sporting CP last summer after a season in which he scored 54 goals in 52 appearances and was expected to be the main man in Arsenal’s push for silverware.
After just a few months into his spell, he has largely disappointed and has managed just 18 goals in 48 appearances with several underwhelming performances. Even in Arsenal’s biggest game of the season, the Swedish forward was benched in a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City, with Kai Havertz preferred instead by Mikel Arteta.
This suggests that the Arsenal head coach does not fully trust him in big games and the arrival of another top striker could see his spell at the club cut short as he looks for a move to secure regular playing time.
Osimhen is currently an upgrade on the Swedish forward. The Nigerian striker plays with a high intensity that suits the physicality of the Premier League and his dominance in aerial balls would also make him a great fit for the Gunners.

The Super Eagles forward also arrives with a winning mentality after helping Napoli and Galatasaray win league titles in recent seasons.
However, the possibility of a deal still depends on whether Galatasaray change their stance on a sale and if Arsenal can also complete the deal. If they do, Osimhen could be the missing piece in their hunt for silverware.
