Ex-Barcelona man’s u-turn puts Victor Osimhen in PSG plans amid links to Bayern, Atletico

There has emerged a fresh French twist in the transfer story involving Galatasaray and Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen, Afrik-Foot reports.

Fichajes, via Hurriyet, claims that Paris Saint-Germain are now showing renewed interest in the Nigerian striker after a change of heart from manager Luis Enrique.

About a year and a half ago, Enrique was not convinced that Osimhen was the right fit for the French and European champions. At the time, PSG were looking at other attacking options and decided against making a move.

But things have changed. The former Barcelona manager is now believed to be open to signing Osimhen after growing concerns about the performances of Gonçalo Ramos.

Ramos has had moments this season, especially coming off the bench, where he has scored important late goals. However, he has struggled to fully impress when given the chance to start matches regularly. For a club with PSG’s ambitions, that inconsistency has become a concern. Enrique is now said to be looking for a more experienced and reliable striker to lead the line.

This is where Osimhen comes back into the picture. The Nigerian forward has a strong connection with PSG’s sporting advisor Luis Campos, dating back to their time together at Lille OSC. That relationship could play a key role if PSG decide to push forward with a deal.

Meanwhile, interest in Osimhen is not limited to France. Top European clubs such as Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid are also keeping a close eye on his situation, making this a potentially fierce transfer battle.

Victor Osimhen’s form speaks loudest as Galatasaray hold firm

While the transfer talk continues, Victor Osimhen’s performances for Galatasaray this season have been too good to ignore. The 27-year-old has been one of the most dangerous forwards in Europe, scoring 19 goals and providing 7 assists in just 29 appearances across all competitions.

He has been especially impressive in the UEFA Champions League, where his record-breaking seven goals helped Galatasaray reach the knockout stages. His movement, strength, and sharp finishing have made him a constant problem for defenders, a pointer to why so many top clubs want him.

Osimhen’s impact has gone beyond just numbers. He has delivered in big moments, including decisive goals in crucial matches, and has become a cult hero in Istanbul. His rapid rise at the club has also seen him break records, including becoming one of the fastest players to reach major goal milestones for Galatasaray.

Despite his importance, Galatasaray are in a strong position. Having signed him for a significant fee, they are expected to demand more than €75 million if they are to consider selling. That price reflects not only his current form but also his value as one of the most complete strikers in world football today.

However, Osimhen is presently recovering from a forearm injury, but his expected return has only added to the growing attention around him. With PSG back in the race and other European giants watching closely, the coming months could be decisive in shaping the next step of his career.
