Turkish giants Beşiktaş are stepping up their pursuit of Wolves striker Tolu Arokodare as they look to reshuffle their squad ahead of next season, Afrik Foot reports.
The club plans to take advantage of the influence of former Nigerian striker Daniel Amokachi in convincing the 25-year-old to seal a summer move to Istanbul.
Amokachi played for Besiktas between 1996 and 1999, scoring 25 goals and providing 23 assists in 112 games.

Besiktas to use Amokachi’s influence to sign Arokodare from Wolves
Arokodare only arrived at Wolverhampton Wanderers last summer from KRC Genk in a deal worth around £24 million, penning a long-term contract until 2029.
However, the Old Gold have endured a challenging season in the Premier League and face the real possibility of relegation, prompting the 25-year-old to seek an early exit from Molineux.
Before his move to England, the lanky Nigerian forward was one of the most feared forwards in Belgium, scoring 23 goals in 45 games, and taking home the top goalscorer award in the domestic Pro League.

That form convinced Wolves to invest heavily in the Nigerian striker, viewing him as a long-term solution in attack. Yet the transition to English football has proven difficult.
In 27 Premier League appearances, Arokodare has managed just three goals, a stark contrast to his output in Belgium.
Rob Edwards’ side are currently bottom of the English top-flight, with 17 points from 31 games, and with seven league games left to play, their odds of dropping to the Championship stand tall, and as such, they could be set to lose most of their first team players.
Besiktas are currently without a proven striker and have identified Arokodare as a potential solution to their attacking needs ahead of next season.
The Turkish Super Lig has become an attractive destination for Nigerian attackers in recent seasons. The impact of players such as Paul Onuachu at Trabzonspor and Victor Osimhen at Galatasaray has strengthened the perception that Turkey can be a fruitful environment for Super Eagles players
Beşiktaş are hopeful that Arokodare could follow a similar path, especially with European football potentially on the table next season.
Amokachi, still one of the most revered names at Besiktas, has been tasked with convincing Arokodare to make the move, according to Turkish outlet A Spor.

Beyond Amokachi’s involvement, Arokodare would also have the comfort of familiar company in Turkey.
Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, who is among Beşiktaş’s leaders, could offer guidance, while former Genk teammate Oh Hyeon-gyu also plies his trade with the Black Eagles.
