Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface is already looking ahead to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, even as the national team heads into the final stages of the qualifying series.

The Bayer Leverkusen star played a crucial role in Nigeria's 1-1 draw against Benin, a result that secured the Super Eagles' place in the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.

With just one game remaining in the qualifiers, Boniface's confidence is huge.

“There's a lot of good teams. Morocco, Ivory Coast, Senegal, and Mali. When it comes to Africa football, you cannot underestimate any team. Everyone is good, so we're looking forward to it,” Boniface said while speaking to Football Fans Tribe.

But it wasn't just football that Boniface touched on. On October 20, he was involved in a serious car accident.

Boniface shared footage of the wrecked car on Instagram, showing the significant damage to the vehicle and his own injuries.

He recounted the terrifying moment when the car spun uncontrollably, but he remains thankful for his survival, noting that his life was the most important takeaway from the incident.

“I was having my childhood friend from Nigeria coming to visit. So we were supposed to pick them at the airport. I was sleeping, and my other friend was driving. When I woke up, we were already spinning three times. But we thank God, just a little scar on my forehead and stitches. The most important thing for me is life,” he explained.
