Celtic and Scotland Kieran Tierney has urged his teammates to draw motivation from Kelechi Iheanacho’s performance during the start of the season, Afrik Foot reports.
Iheanacho joined Celtic on a free transfer, cutting the remainder of his two-year contract with Sevilla.
The Super Eagles striker started life with the Hoops in spectacular style, but two hamstring injuries have halted his growth.
Celtic as whole have struggled this season, having parted ways with Brendan Rodgers and Wilfred Nancy. Martin O’Neill had to be appointed as an interim manager twice this season.

Under O’Neill, the Record Scottish Champions have found their feet, winning four straight games.
Celtic are now six points behind league leaders Hearts, and Tierney has urged the Hoops to give their all in the run-in.
“As players, you want the best atmosphere. Celtic Park is famous for it, so you want the best, especially in a season like this, where it is tight, and we are chasing,” the former Arsenal defender said in quotes revealed by Celtic Way.

“We want the atmosphere to help us and push us on. Everyone at the stadium is trying, and I hope that, going forward, the atmosphere remains good.

“This season, the belief in the last-minute winners we have had shows that we never give up.
“There were more games at the start of the season where we did that, even Kelechi (Iheanacho) on his debut at Rugby Park. It shows the character. It is one of those seasons where it is going to take results like this and massive shifts in momentum.
“We just need to keep going,” Kieran Tierney concluded.

Kelechi Iheanacho has played just 28 minutes for Celtic since the turn of the year, and it is highly unlikely that the club will extend his stay beyond this summer.
