Former Spanish Copa del Rey champions Real Betis are seriously interested in Super Eagles midfielder Christantus Uche, Afrik-Foot reports.
Uche has endured a difficult year at Crystal Palace following his season-long loan move from La Liga club Getafe.
During his time in Spain, he was one of the league’s highly-rated players, but the move to Palace has proved to be a mistake.

The versatile 22-year-old has contributed two goals and one assist in 22 appearances. Most of his game time has come off the bench, and it appears that manager Oliver Glasner does not favor him in his tactical setup.
It has been confirmed that Uche will return to Getafe this summer, as the conditions for a permanent deal have not been met.

Still, the former AD Ceuta man’s future hangs in the balance. Getafe are currently cash-strapped due to stringent La Liga financial rules, and Uche’s return will further strain their finances unless they sell another of their top players.
Real Betis Emerges as a Possible Destination for Christantus Uche
Amid the uncertainty surrounding Christantus Uche’s future, reports have emerged linking him with a move away from Getafe this summer.

According to Fichajes, Real Betis are preparing to throw their hat into the ring for the Super Eagles star. They are reportedly ready to offer Getafe €15 million to secure Uche’s services.
This is an offer that Los Azulones will seriously consider because they need the funds. For Betis, the deal makes sense because Uche is already proven in La Liga.
From the look of it, the deal would favor all parties involved: Getafe receives the money, Uche joins a stable team that wants him, and Real Betis gains squad depth and a quality player who knows the league.

The Super Eagles star would undoubtedly give Real Betis a boost. His ability to play multiple positions will also be a key asset for coach Manuel Pellegrini.
Real Betis will likely play Champions League football next season. While they might be outsiders for the title, with a player like Uche on the team, they may fancy their chances of winning their first piece of silverware since their Copa del Rey triumph in 2022.
