Two Super Eagles forwards, Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke, played key roles as Sevilla FC fought back from two goals down to draw 2-2 away to Real Betis in Sunday’s La Liga derby, Afrik-Foot reports.
It was a dramatic evening in Seville. The home side started strongly and looked set for a comfortable victory after racing into an early lead.

The hosts doubled their advantage in the 37th minute when Álvaro Fidalgo finished off a quick counter-attack, leaving Sevilla with a mountain to climb before halftime.
Adams, leading Sevilla’s attack, worked tirelessly throughout the first half. The Nigerian striker tested goalkeeper Álvaro Valles with a long-range effort and later fired another attempt just wide, showing signs that Los Nervionenses were still alive in the contest.
At the break, Betis appeared fully in control, but the match changed completely after Sevilla reshaped their attack.

Ejuke sparks comeback as Sevilla rewrite derby history
Sevilla manager introduced Ejuke at halftime, and the Nigerian winger immediately added speed, creativity, and direct running to the visitors’ play.
Rojiblancos began to dominate possession and push Betis deeper into their own half. After Ejuke saw one effort blocked, the pressure finally paid off.
Veteran forward Alexis Sánchez pulled a goal back with a powerful header from a cross delivered by youngster Oso.

The goal was historic. At 36 years and 72 days old, Sánchez became the oldest player to score in a Sevilla-Betis La Liga derby in the 21st century, breaking the previous mark held by Joaquín Sánchez.
Momentum swung firmly toward Sevilla. Adams nearly equalised in the 77th minute, but Valles reacted well to deny him.
The comeback was completed five minutes from time when substitute Isaac Romero struck home with his left foot to make it 2-2.
Sevilla even threatened to win it late on. Ejuke had another shot blocked, while Adams saw a stoppage-time effort cleared off the goal line.

More than 67,000 supporters witnessed Sevilla avoid defeat after trailing by two goals, the first time they have achieved such a comeback in a La Liga derby against Betis in the 21st century.
Away from Seville, Super Eagles striker Umar Sadiq played the full match as Valencia CF secured an important 1-0 home win over CA Osasuna.
Belgian winger Largie Ramazani scored the decisive goal from the penalty spot in the 67th minute.
The victory moved Valencia five points clear of the relegation zone, giving the club breathing space in their fight to stay in La Liga.
