Galatasaray’s all-time top Süper Lig scorers: Where does Osimhen rank?

Published on by

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen made more history on Monday night when he scored twice in Galatasaray’s 2-1 win over Fenerbahce, moving further up the club’s all-time goalscoring rankings.

The 27-year-old opened the scoring with a fine finish after being set up by Barış Alper Yılmaz before doubling his side’s lead in the 44th minute with a header. It was a dominant first-half performance from Galatasaray, with the Nigerian star leading the way.

However, İrfan Can Kahveci pulled one back for Fenerbahce in the second half, setting up a tense finish as the hosts fought to get back into the game.

Osimhen’s brace took his tally to five goals in six games against Fenerbahce and eight league goals for the 2026/27 campaign. He is also among the leading contenders for the Turkish Süper Lig Golden Boot, alongside fellow Nigerian Gift Orban and Egyptian star Mohamed Salah.

The Super Eagles star’s goals also moved him higher up the club’s all-time goalscoring rankings, adding another milestone to his growing legacy in Turkey.

Victor Osimhen has enjoyed a remarkable spell since joining Galatasaray in 2024 on an initial loan deal from Napoli. The Turkish giants made the move permanent in 2025 for a reported fee of around €75 million, setting a Turkish transfer record.

Since arriving in Istanbul, the Nigerian striker has delivered impressive performances and helped Galatasaray win consecutive league titles, alongside a domestic cup trophy during his first two seasons at the club.

His goalscoring record has continued to grow, with the 27-year-old already establishing himself as one of the team’s most important players.

His brace against Fenerbahce not only strengthened his position among the leading scorers in the 2026/27 campaign but also lifted him higher in the Turkish champions’ historical goalscoring rankings.

The two goals took his overall tally for the club to 68 goals in 83 appearances, including 49 Süper Lig goals in 59 games.

That league tally moved him into 10th place in the ranking provided, taking him past Milan Baroš, who scored 48 league goals for Galatasaray.

However, Osimhen still has some way to go before challenging the club’s greatest goalscorers. Hakan Şükür leads the historical list, followed by Tanju Çolak and Arif Erdem.

Victor Osimhen eyes more history

Having climbed to 10th place in the ranking, Osimhen will be eager to continue moving up the standings as he looks to strengthen his legacy at Galatasaray.

The Nigerian striker will hope to close the gap on both Icardi and Hagi as he hopes to cement his record as one of the club’s most prolific foreign goalscorers in the Süper Lig.

With his current form showing little sign of slowing down, the 27-year-old has an opportunity to add more goals to his tally and climb further up the rankings in the coming weeks.
