Swedish top-flight club IF Brommapojkarna have confirmed the signing of Nigerian teenager Bidemi Amole, Afrik-Foot reports.
The Flying Eagles winger has joined the club on loan from Real Sapphire, with an option for a permanent transfer. Although the deal was completed before the Swedish transfer window closed on March 25, it was only officially announced after the player received his work permit.
Amole arrives in Sweden with a rising reputation. The Nigeria U20 international caught the eye of scouts with his pace and direct style of play, particularly during the 2024 Gothia Cup, where he featured for Sporting Lagos’ academy. His performances there opened doors in Europe, including a training stint with Djurgårdens IF, one of Brommapojkarna’s domestic rivals.

Speaking after completing his move, Amole explained why he chose the Swedish side.
“What attracted me to BP was the community. My club recommended it, and when I checked it out myself it felt just right. Being here at Grimsta feels great. There’s a really good energy and everyone has been very welcoming.
“My first impression of the club was very positive. The management team pays great attention to detail and communicates well, which makes it easier for me to adapt.
“The players are a fantastic group, technically skilled and good people who have helped me to fit into the team quickly.”

Nigeria: A familiar African presence in Sweden
One factor that could help Amole settle quickly is the strong African presence already at Brommapojkarna. The club has built a reputation for developing young talents from across the continent.
Among them is fellow Nigerian forward Courage Otokwefor, who joined permanently earlier this year after impressing during a loan spell.
There is also a trio of Ghanaian youngsters, including Sion Oppong, alongside Evans Botchway and Baba Salifu Apiiga. The duo of Gabon midfielder Serge-Junior Martinsson Ngouali and Guinea’s Issiaga Camara, on loan from OGC Nice, also provide more African flavour.
This diverse dressing room could provide Amole with both comfort and competition as he begins his European journey.

Brommapojkarna are widely known for their focus on youth development. The club has one of the largest academy systems in Europe and has produced several top Swedish players over the years. Their commitment to nurturing young talent makes them an ideal environment for a player like Amole, who is still at an early stage of his career.
Before his move, the winger was part of Nigeria’s squad at the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations, where he scored in the third-place playoff against Egypt.
Eith a move to Sweden now secured, Amole has the opportunity to test himself in a competitive European league. If he adapts quickly, this loan spell could become a stepping stone to bigger opportunities, both at club level and with Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
