As Nigeria prepares to face Ghana in the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers, Head Coach Austin Eguavoen has assembled a 35-man squad of home-based talent.

The roster features some of the Nigeria Premier Football League's most promising players, each hungry to secure a spot in the tournament scheduled for February 2025 in East Africa.

In a notable move, Remo Stars' energetic wing-back Ismail Sadiq, Kano Pillars' in-form forward Zikifilu Rabiu, and Enugu Rangers' creative midfielder Kazeem Ogunleye joined the squad.

League top scorer Anas Yusuf of Nasarawa United also makes the cut, alongside Remo Stars forward Sikiru Alimi, who previously starred for the Super Eagles B team in the 2021 CHAN campaign.

In defence, former Golden Eaglets left-back Abass Usman gets a look-in, while Enyimba's impressive midfielder Eze Ekwutoziam adds further depth to the line-up.

Muhammad Zilkifilu of Kano Pillars, Plateau United's Temitope Vincent, who has been a revelation this season and Bendel Insurance's Michael Enaruma are also set to join the camp in Abuja which opens on October 29.

The qualifiers mark a high-stakes match-up, especially after Nigeria's narrow penalty loss to Ghana in the last CHAN qualifiers.
